February 14, 2020 - Berlin, Germany: The new managing director of the Berlinale film festival Mariette Rissenbeek (L) and the new artistic director of the Berlinale film festival Carlo Chatrian pose prior to talks with journalists for a short portrait shoot - The 70th edition of the film festival will take place from February 20, 2020 to March 1, 2020. Carlo Chatrian, is the former head of the Locarno Film Festival, and Mariette Rissenbeek, is the former managing director of the films promotion agency German Films. They have been officially confirmed as the new co-heads of the Berlinale International Film Festival early 2019. Rissenbeek and Chatrian succeed  German director of the Berlinale Film Festival Dieter Kosslick who ended his mandate after the 69th Berlinale film festival.
